POLITICO "Westminster Insider"
Journalism first. Production to match.
Politico is a global authority on politics, policy and power. Its "Westminster Insider" podcast tackles subjects where credibility isn't negotiable, and when Lloyds Banking Group sponsored an episode on homelessness and social housing in the UK, the production had to honour both the journalism and the partnership without compromising either.
Sound designed for engagement to the end
Here we seamlessly blended different contributors recorded in different locations with wildly different atmospheres and acoustics into a consistent and important whole. The carefully written narrative and sensitive sound design ties it all together. We also needed to ensure that the sponsor was visible without the episode sounding like an advertorial.
Our role was to ensure the final episode met broadcast-quality standards while letting the journalism lead. "Homes for all: A strategy to end homelessness in Britain" was written and narrated by David Baker, with sensitive sound design throughout by Trisonic.
A partnership, not a one-off
POLITICO got an episode that sounds as authoritative as its written journalism, with production values that reflect the seriousness of the subject and the credibility of everyone involved.
It was also the start of something longer. What began as a single episode has grown into an ongoing production partnership, with Trisonic now a trusted part of the POLITICO Studio workflow across multiple projects. That kind of repeat trust isn't won by doing adequate work. It's won by doing it properly.
"Working with Trisonic was a wonderfully smooth process from start to finish. Matt went above and beyond, always very responsive and helpful. We were delighted with the standard of podcast recording and editing, and the team’s work was always very quick and professional. We would highly recommend them.”
