Old El Paso "Make some noise"
Taking a good TV ad, and turning it into a great radio ad...with added zing!
Old El Paso wanted to reposition their Mexican food not as a midweek convenience meal but as a great food made for sharing: Food that brings people together; food people associate with good times.
Their TV ad was based on the theme of “Make Some Noise” using Pitbull's “Fireball” and they needed a radio ad to compliment it.
That's where Trisonic came in, working with the client alongside their media agency Mindshare. We recorded a group of friends enjoying an evening together - laughter, conversation, the sounds of great food being shared - and layered it over Pitbull’s music. The result was infectious. You hear people having a good time and you want to be there.
Then, for good measure, we added a second ad to air only at the end of the week inviting listeners to “Make today a Fajita Friday,” This specific contextual call-to-action drove sales.
This Friday-specific execution shows how using Trisonic as a production partner adds value, because we think beyond the brief. Not just making what was asked for but coming up with new ideas to make campaigns work harder.
