Gressingham Foods came to Trisonic with a very specific ask – position their premium Duck as an accessible Friday night treat as opposed to out-of-reach ‘restaurant fancy’.

Our media planner dismissed broadcast radio as too broad a demographic and went for podcasts bso we could match Gressingham’s audience and regional profile precisely. What’s more, podcast listeners tend to respond to what they hear, with research showing 62% of them act directly on podcast brand messages. It's a lean-in listen.

We put the listener in the kitchen

We teamed this media decision with an ad approach that immersed the headphone listener in the kitchen mid-cook: duck sizzling in the pan and a wine cork popping surrounding the listener. All backed by a warm, friendly voice and cool music to set the mood.

The scope of the campaigns grew over time, with podcast ads and host reads bolstered by sponsoring an episode of Mark Wogan’s “Spooning”, where the guest’s favourite dish just happened to be crispy duck pancakes!

The result was targeted, immersive, and built to make people act.
